The rays of the rising sun are touching the Ganges in Varanasi. At this moment the energy of countless devotees is absorbed here. Hindu pilgrims have lived here for years. The Ganges of ritual and faith has been flowing here for many generations. A Hindu prince also came here about two and a half thousand years ago. But the reason for his arrival was different. This prince of Shakya clan was born. Siddhartha as Gautama but the world knows him as Buddha. Buddha who was enlightened. Seven weeks after attaining enlightenment, Mahatma Buddha came to a forest near Varanasi and gave his first sermon to his five disciples. It was called Dharmachakra Enforcement Sutra which means control over the speed of the Dharma Chakra. And that was it. Buddhism, which relieves human suffering. But in simple meaning Dharma Chakra Enforcement sutra stands for converting other religion people to Bhuddhism. The deciples were very young to begin with the Sutra. The members of the Sangha were the first Buddhists to reside in the monasteries. He was just good but his number continued to grow. The association is still there today. It is such a confluence of brotherhood and harmony in the society in which the people involved spend a vigilant life on the path of independence. Sarnath, about 10 km from Varanasi, where Buddha gave his first sermon, is one of the four holiest places in Buddhism, including his birthplace Lumbini. Went to Bodh where he got knowledge and Kushinagar Mahanirvan Sthal. Even today, the remains of a building built thousands of years ago in Sarnath.

The most important of these is Dham on a stool which was once called Dharmachakra Stupa. It was built by Emperor Ashoka about 23 hundred years ago, then it was rebuilt eight hundred years later. It is here that Mahatma Buddha gave his first sermon here. This cylinder shaped turret has a diameter of 30 meters and a height of 43 meters. These stones were once beautifully carved. What is inside it could not be found till date. Many believe that there are probably remains of Mahatma Buddha inside it but there is no strong evidence. It was from here that Buddhism spread throughout the world. In the coming centuries, the teachings of Mahatma Buddha began to spread not only in this subcontinent but also to far flung areas. In the seventh century, a young monk in China's province of Changlang was inspired by him.  He decided that he would go from China to India. The birthplace of Buddhism. It was only the beginning of his long journey towards an unknown world, but faith got courage. The ruler of that province had banned foreign travel, but Shyojiram had decided that in 629 he set out on his long journey in the dark of night.

Carrying all his necessities on his shoulder, he set out on a journey that was going to be the longest journey of any human being. Those brave travelers were crossing dangerous ravines. And were writing everything. At the beginning of his journey he went towards the west. In Central Asia and then crossing the Gobi Desert, headed south towards India. By the time he reached India across the Pamir plateau, he had traveled for a year and the floor was still far away. Eventually Xinjiang reached Sarnath. It is said that he lived here in the ruins of a temple called the original Gandhak Kuti. It is believed that Mahatma Buddha used to meditate there. When Shenzhen reached Sarnath, there were about one and a half thousand monks and this monastery was a university. There were mango orchards and the atmosphere was full of study and practice. He became proficient in Sanskrit and started learning how to apply the wisdom of Mahatma Buddha in India, but Xinjiang was not just a Buddhist monk but he was one of the first travelogue writers. During his journey of more than 17 years, he wrote down what he saw. Nearly 14 hundred years after that WHO's mahayatra, international travelers still visit Sarnath. They comes here and walks on the holy land where the cycle of religion was found. Today around 500 million people around the world are Buddhists and believe in the religion that started here in Sarnath. From the teachings of the prince who himself became a monk who was a monologist.
